Accurate Anchor and Dowel Holes in Concrete
When rebar needs to tie new concrete into old, or equipment, racking and railings need a solid connection, it all starts with the hole. Logos Concrete Solutions drills anchor and dowel holes in concrete slabs, walls, footings, columns and beams — on your layout, at the spacing and embedment your engineer or anchor manufacturer specifies, and cleaned out so the anchor or adhesive can do its job.
As a Florida concrete drilling company, we bring the same habits to anchor drilling and dowel drilling that we bring to concrete core drilling: careful layout, coordination around post-tension cables and embedded utilities, controlled dust and a clean work area when we leave. When your trades also need penetrations, we can handle vertical and horizontal or angled core drilling on the same visit.
Anchor & Dowel Drilling Applications
- Rebar doweling into existing slabs, footings & walls
- Slab extensions, additions & infill pours
- Stair, landing & ramp tie-ins
- Anchor bolts for equipment pads & machinery
- Pallet racking & shelving anchors
- Handrails, guardrails & stair railings
- Fence, canopy, sign & post holes
- Steel base plates, ledgers & structural connections
- Epoxy and adhesive anchor hole prep
- Storm shutter & hurricane-hardening anchors
Epoxy anchoring prep: Adhesive anchors only perform as well as the hole is cleaned. We blow out and brush every hole following the adhesive manufacturer's instructions so it's ready for your epoxy and dowels or anchors.
Post-tension slabs: Before any anchor or dowel holes go into a PT slab, tendon locations must be identified and marked (arranged through the GC or owner). We drill only to cleared, marked locations.
Our Anchor Drilling Process
Layout & Coordination
We confirm hole locations, spacing and embedment with you, your drawings or your engineer, and coordinate around PT cables and embedded utilities.
Accurate Drilling
Holes are drilled square to the surface, or at the angle specified, right on your marks — with dust captured at the source.
Hole Cleaning
Each hole is blown out and brushed so adhesive anchors and dowels bond properly.
Clean Finish
Dust and debris vacuumed up and the area left ready for your installers or the next trade.

Anchor & Dowel Drilling FAQs
What if the drill hits rebar?
We coordinate layouts with you, your GC or your engineer to keep anchor and dowel holes clear of existing reinforcing and post-tension cables. If a hole runs into rebar, we stop and confirm with you before relocating or continuing.
Do you clean the holes for epoxy anchors?
Yes. Holes are blown out and brushed following the adhesive manufacturer's instructions so dowels and anchors bond properly.
Can you combine anchor drilling with core drilling?
Yes. Many jobs need both — penetrations for the trades and anchor or dowel holes for structural and equipment work. We can handle both on the same visit.
